Festival Ready with Mark. Jewelry

Festival season is upon us and this was a chance for me to flaunt my new mark jewelry collection! The collection includes burnished silvertone with semi precious stones coin necklace, a hand chain, and interchangeable earrings that can be worn as I'm modeling them or longer with the extra piece that's shown in the stock photo. Avon's Perfectly Matte Lipsticks

The matte lip trend is all the rage right now, which is perfect timing because Avon recently launched their new collection of matte lipsticks in 12 gorgeous shades! Not only are these colors bomb dot com, they're creamy without being cakey! I feel that some matte lipsticks tend to be drying. However, Avon's new collection seals in moisture for a lightweight, velvety feel! Check out the swatches I did for you guys below.

At first, texture is very velvety, creamy and glides easily on the lips. Afterwards, the formula dries to a complete matte without being drying at all. It felt VERY comfortable to wear. Although the formula isn't long wearing, it doesn't transfer very easily and wears off nicely throughout the day. I do recommend that it is important to exfoliate due to wearing a dryer formula than a standard lipstick. This will avoid chalkiness and noticeably dry skin on your lips! Also, using a lip liner with your lipstick will give you a different look! Different, but nice! Colors are very pigmented and I've even noticed they smell pretty nice too! I would compare these lipsticks to MAC's matte lipsticks except Avon's are less drying.

I am so thrilled and ecstatic to finally share the project Avon has been working on for their new campaign "What's Your Why?". I was able to take part and participate in this amazing video to showcase representatives reasons for joining this amazing company. I joined Avon during college to have extra money for going out and having fun. Now, I've made this into a full career!

A Colorado Wedding

I flew out to snowy and beautiful Denver, CO to celebrate the wedding of my high school best friend. Not only was I her maid of honor, I was also her makeup artist for the entire weekend (bachelorette party, wedding rehearsal, and actual wedding). This weekend made me realize how much I actually like to do bridal makeup. For the bridal look, I went with a smoky, soft plum and brown eye, well groomed and defined eyebrows, lush lashes, and blush lips. The bride normally goes au natural on a daily basis so this was fun to play up her natural features! My favorite part of her face was her eyebrows. All it took was to fill them in slightly with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Dark Brown and a clear coat of brow gel. Since I posted a photo of my bride on social media, I've been getting asked on how much I charge for bridal makeup application which is something I never thought about but am highly considering on doing now. So, I'm thinking of going back to school to become a professional makeup artist and esthetician. At the moment, I'm currently exploring schools in the Orange County area. Okay... so I've been MIA for a while now. The last few months have been so busy. I went to New York, have been trying to get into working out more consistently, and have been focusing on my business. Like I seriously need to get a mani-pedi, facial and a haircut stat! Frankly, I need to be better about prioritizing my schedule along with taking better care of myself haha. Anyways, with Christmas around the corner and my birthday following soon after, I thought of things that I've been wanting to get my hands on. Take a look!

I love anything holographic. I've actually been eyeing this UNIF backpack for a long time but I don't think they're available anymore. Not sure since I haven't been looking recently. Just look at those colors... *sigh*

Vans Classic Slip-On Sneaker in Matte Irridescent

I haven't worn Vans since 9th grade. When I saw these babies though, I fell in love. Plus, I gotta match with the backpack! Unfortunately, they're already sold out on NastyGal. 

White Queen/Full Duvet Cover

Since I bought my comforter, I have been having the most amazing sleep ever! However, I'm beginning to realize that with continued use and washing, it's begun to show signs of wear and small little stains (darn those pomegranate seeds!). Currently looking for a duvet cover with a high thread count. Found this one from Target :)

Bohemian Jewels

I would say my ideal style is boho + glam grunge. I love all things hippy, leopard, black and spiked. Would love to expand my boho jewelry collection, especially rings. 

Face Sheet Masks

The first sheet mask I've ever tried was the Tony Moly I'm Real Rice Mask Sheet from Urban Outfitters for only $3! After one use, my skin looked and felt amazing! No breakouts, no extra oils, no hyper pigmentation. I'm seriously in love with these. 

Getaway Trips

If there's one thing I love more than discovering good places to eat, it's cool places to travel to. Luckily, these places are within a 4 hour drive at most. Would love to visit (from the top) : 1) Big Bear- cabin, fireplace, waffle house for breakfast, sip on hot chocolate while looking at the snow. 2) Solvang- I came here in February for my 21st birthday with my boyfriend. It was so stunning to see a Danish village and with the holiday season here, I bet it's even more festive. 3) Palm Spring's RoboLights- This Christmas display flows over 4 acres of crazy statues, weird decorations, set ups, and artwork. Reading about this reminds me of Tio's Tacos in Riverside. Down to drive an hour to see this in person!

Tips on Oily Skin and Best Avon Products to Use

Too often I find people who are confused with all the makeup and skincare out there, therefore they use the wrong products. If you know what you're skin type is, the search for the right products is much easier. I've decided to do a series of videos based on skin types and what best Avon products to use for that specific skin category. I've first done OILY SKIN, because that's the type of skin I have. I plan on doing a few more on dry skin and sensitive skin as well. Enjoy!
